La Signora — The Edit
The Late-Summer Dress Edit
Linen, leopard and the Santorini slip
The dresses to carry August into a golden September
August is the month the wardrobe tells the truth. The pieces that survive it — through city heat, a Cornish wind, one last flight south — earn their place for good. This season the Claudio Lugli women's atelier moved properly into dresses for the first time, and the edit below is built the way the best capsule stories are: three linens for the day, two florals for the golden hour, one leopard for the evening you have not planned yet.
“Linen for the day. Florals for the golden hour. Leopard for the evening you haven't planned yet.”
The Linen Hour
Pure linen, cut clean: the scoop-neck midi with real pockets (the detail every woman checks for), the shirred bodice that moves with you through a long lunch, and the slit-hem column that is the most elegant thing at any harbour-side table. These are the hundred-pound heroes of the range — the dresses that look triple the price precisely because nothing about them shouts.
The Golden Hour Florals
For the evening walk to dinner: the Italian Watercolour Bardot, tiered and off-the-shoulder, its print exactly what the name promises — brushstroke florals that look painted on rather than printed. The Boho Ditsy kimono-sleeve maxi is its freer sister, made for the festival field or the beach bar. Both pack to nothing and forgive everything.

The Wild Card
Every edit needs one. The Leopard Off-the-Shoulder maxi is late-summer's answer to the little black dress — tiered so it moves, off-the-shoulder so it frames, leopard so nobody forgets it. Gold sandals in August; boots and our leopard double-breasted jacket when September turns — which is exactly the look we take to Goodwood Revival.

One Dress, Worn Three Ways
The piece that bridges the whole edit is the Miss Charm linen-blend shirt dress: worn closed with a belt it is a dress; open over the Santorini slip it is a duster; knotted over white jeans it is a shirt. It is also the quiet gateway into the rest of the wardrobe — because a shirt dress is, in the end, our home ground. When you are ready for the full print story, the complete women's shirt guide is where this journal begins.
