Big & Bold

Claudio Lugli · Big & Bold

Bold prints, built for
the bigger frame

Statement designer shirts cut with real room through the chest, shoulders, stomach and neck — an all-inclusive range that dresses the bigger, bolder man properly, never as an afterthought.

If your chest measures up to around 56″ and your collar up to around 22½″, you're within our size-guide bracket. We fit by measurement, not by label — so measure, then choose your print.

I — The Honest Bracket

Fit by measurement, not by label

A “6XL” means different things on different sizing systems, so we don't ask you to trust the letter — we ask you to trust the tape. Here's the bracket our size guide is built to. Fall within it, and Claudio Lugli fits you.

Up to ~56″
Chest

Room built through the chest for the fuller, more powerful build.

Up to ~22½″
Collar

A generous neck the high street rarely accommodates.

9 sizes
S to 6XL

Finely graded steps — so you land on a fit, not a compromise.

These figures are the upper end of our own scale and are approximate — the exact garment and body measurements for every size live in the size guide. Always confirm your fit there before ordering.

II — The Proof

Straight from the size guide

The most reliable way to size up is to measure a shirt you already own and love, lay it flat, and compare it against our garment chart. No comparable shirt to hand? Use the body-measurement chart and pick the size where your chest, shoulders, tummy and underarms fall in range.

Our cut is a tailored regular fit — shaped, never baggy — so if you're between sizes, broad-shouldered or heavier set, go one size up. The letter on the label matters less than the inches on the tape.

III — Where We Excel

Built for the bigger frame

The construction is genuinely made to carry a larger, more powerful physique — with the room where bigger men actually need it, and the tailoring that keeps it sharp rather than shapeless.

Room through the middle

Generous through the stomach and chest, so the shirt sits clean over a fuller frame instead of straining at the buttons.

Made for broad shoulders

Shaped across the shoulders and back for the heavier-set, athletic build — the cut a boxy off-the-peg shirt never manages.

A collar that fits

A generous neck up to around 22½″ on our largest sizes — the measurement most brands quietly ignore.

Tailored, not tent-like

A tailored regular fit that flatters. Bigger doesn't have to mean baggy — this is shape, not a sack.

IV — Straight Talk

An honest word on sleeves

We'd rather be clear than lose your trust. We look after the bigger build brilliantly — but we cut our long sleeves to a standard tailored length. We're a big brand, not an extra-tall one, and we don't make extra-long sleeves.

So if you need extra length in the arm, here's the honest answer: our short-sleeve range is made for you — and bold prints land beautifully on a bigger canvas, no sleeve compromise required.

VII — Good to Know

Big & Bold, answered

Does Claudio Lugli make bold shirts in large sizes?

Yes. Our range is graded in nine finely stepped sizes from Small up to 6XL on our own scale, built for the bigger frame — the largest sizes are cut to around a 56″ chest and a 22½″ collar. Because sizing differs between brands and systems, we ask you to go by the measurements in our size guide rather than the size label.

Which measurements should I check?

Chest and collar are the two that matter most for a larger build, along with shoulders and stomach. The most reliable method is to measure a shirt you already own and love, lay it flat, and compare it with our garment chart. If your chest is up to around 56″ and your collar up to around 22½″, you're within our bracket — confirm the exact size in the size guide.

Do you cater for a fuller stomach and broader chest?

Yes — this is exactly what the construction is built for. Our tailored regular fit gives genuine room through the stomach, chest, shoulders and neck, while keeping a sharp, shaped silhouette rather than a boxy one. If you're between sizes or heavier set, go one size up.

Do you make extra-long sleeves for taller men?

No — and we'd rather be straight about it. Our long-sleeve shirts are cut to a standard tailored sleeve length, so they suit a bigger build rather than an extra-tall reach. If you need more length in the arm, our short-sleeve range is the answer, and bold prints look superb on a larger frame. You can check sleeve measurements for every size in the size guide.

Is your sizing true to other brands?

Sizing is never perfectly consistent from brand to brand or country to country, which is why we're measurement-led. Our fit is a tailored regular cut, and many customers size up. Trust the tape over the label: check your measurements against our size guide, and if you're still unsure, send us your chest measurement and we'll confirm your exact size.

Still not sure of your size?

Our London team knows the Claudio fit and is happy to help. Send your chest and collar measurements by WhatsApp, phone or email, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm UK time, and we'll tell you exactly which size to order.
