If you are a bigger man, you already know the routine. You find a print you love, you scroll to the size dropdown, and it stops at XXL. The bold, characterful shirts always seem to be cut for one build — and it isn't yours. At Claudio Lugli, that has never been how we work.
We design bold, limited-edition printed shirts in London, and we cut them across nine finely graded sizes, Small through 6XL. But the number on the label was never the point. Sizing is inconsistent from brand to brand and country to country — one house's 4XL is another's 3XL, and an American 6XL is a different animal again. So rather than ask you to trust a letter, we ask you to trust a tape measure.
Every size above is cut to its own graded pattern — not one pattern scaled up.

Here is the honest bracket we build to. Our largest sizes are cut to around a 56-inch chest and a 22½-inch collar. If your measurements fall within that range — and below — Claudio Lugli has a shirt that will fit you properly.
Those figures are the top of our own scale, and they're approximate — the exact garment and body measurements for every size live in our size guide. The most reliable way to find your size is the oldest one: take a shirt you already own and love, lay it flat, measure the chest, shoulders, sleeve and length, and compare. Garment against garment beats guesswork every time.

Built for the frame, not just scaled up
There is a difference between a shirt that has been made bigger and a shirt that has been made for a bigger man. Our tailored regular cut gives genuine room where it's needed — through the stomach, the chest, the shoulders and the neck — while keeping a shaped, sharp silhouette. It sits clean over a fuller frame instead of straining at the buttons, and it flatters a broad, heavier-set or athletic build rather than hanging off it like a tent.
That generous 22½-inch collar on our largest sizes is a small detail that matters enormously. It's the measurement the high street quietly ignores, and it's often the very thing that decides whether a shirt is wearable or not.
We'd rather be clear than sell you the wrong thing. We look after the bigger build brilliantly — but our long-sleeve shirts are cut to a standard tailored sleeve length. We are a big brand, not an extra-tall one, and we don't make extra-long sleeves.
So if your build is large but your arms need extra length, here's the honest answer rather than a returned parcel: our short-sleeve range is made for you, and bold prints land beautifully on a bigger canvas with no sleeve compromise at all.
