Charlie Sloth's Claudio Lugli Style: From Red Carpets to Ibiza
Charlie would arrive full of energy, ready to explore, pull pieces from the rails, try combinations nobody else would think of and genuinely enjoy the process of putting together a look.
Over the years, he visited the Claudio Lugli showroom numerous times, and every visit felt less like a fitting appointment and more like a creative session.
He wasn't afraid of colour.
He wasn't afraid of print.
And he certainly wasn't afraid of standing out.
The BRIT Awards After Party Look
One of the most memorable outfits we worked on for Charlie was for a BRIT Awards after-party appearance.
The look centred around a classic Claudio Lugli combination:
A navy blazer.
A matching waistcoat.
And one of our signature Skull & Crown print shirts.
The shirt perfectly balanced Charlie's personality. Bold enough to make a statement, but tailored enough to work on a major red-carpet occasion.
As with many clients, achieving the right fit was just as important as choosing the outfit itself. Both the jacket and waistcoat required alterations to ensure they sat exactly as intended.
The result was a look that felt distinctly Charlie Sloth while still remaining unmistakably Claudio Lugli.
GRM Rated Awards: Colour, Character and Confidence
If there was one outfit that captured Charlie's willingness to embrace colour, it was the look he wore to the GRM Rated Awards.
For this appearance, he selected one of our Animal Kingdom shirts paired with a mustard blazer and waistcoat combination.
It wasn't a safe choice.
Which is precisely why it worked.
The Animal Kingdom design is packed with personality and detail, while the mustard tailoring brought energy and confidence to the overall look.
Again, tailoring played an important role. The jacket required adjustments before the event to achieve the fit Charlie wanted.
Watching the finished outfit come together reminded us why styling should be fun.
Not every red-carpet look needs to be black, navy or grey.
Sometimes personality deserves centre stage.
The ARIA Awards Appearance
Charlie also selected Claudio Lugli tailoring for an appearance at the ARIA Awards.
By this point, there was already a level of trust between us. He knew the quality of the garments and we understood the type of statement he wanted to make.
The look combined classic tailoring principles with the individuality that has always defined Claudio Lugli.
Like many of Charlie's outfit choices, it stood out without feeling forced.
Beyond the Red Carpet
While award ceremonies often attract the most attention, some of our favourite Charlie Sloth sightings came away from the cameras.
Throughout the years, Charlie regularly wore Claudio Lugli shirts while DJing, particularly during appearances in Ibiza.
Those environments suited the brand perfectly.
The combination of music, nightlife, colour and self-expression has always been part of Claudio Lugli's DNA.
Whether it was a bold animal print, a vibrant conversational design or one of our more intricate artistic shirts, Charlie consistently gravitated towards pieces that reflected his personality.
That's one of the reasons his outfits always felt authentic.
He wasn't wearing them because somebody told him to.
He simply enjoyed them.
The Importance of Fit
One thing that often goes unnoticed when people see a finished photograph is the amount of work that happens beforehand.
For both the BRIT Awards and GRM Rated Awards looks, tailoring was essential.
Charlie understood that even the boldest outfit only works when it fits correctly.
Adjustments were made, details refined and proportions perfected to ensure everything looked right when the cameras started flashing.
It's a reminder that great style isn't just about what you wear.
It's about how it fits.
A Natural Match
Looking back, Charlie Sloth's relationship with Claudio Lugli felt entirely natural.
He brought enthusiasm, confidence and an openness to experiment with fashion.
We provided the prints, colours and tailoring that allowed him to express that personality.
From Skull & Crown shirts on the BRIT Awards circuit to Animal Kingdom prints at the GRM Rated Awards and countless Claudio Lugli shirts worn while DJing in Ibiza, Charlie consistently embraced the idea that menswear should be enjoyable.
And for us, that's exactly what Claudio Lugli has always been about.
Not fitting in.
Not following trends.
Simply wearing something you genuinely love and having the confidence to own it.
