The 2026 theme, preserved as an archive
Goodwood’s own 2026 style guide confirms the La Dolce Vita inspiration and the Maserati and Vespa celebrations. This is the edit for 18–20 September 2026; it is not an announcement of the next Revival’s theme.
Riviera style, adjusted to the actual day
For a relaxed outfit, combine a scenic print with ecru or stone trousers and simple shoes. For central Paddock access, add the required jacket and tie; an open collar does not meet that rule. Roll sleeves only when the setting and temperature suit, and choose socks and footwear for your comfort.
Monaco is a Riviera reference outside Italy, while an Italian road-racing motif is a different historic subject. Both can contribute to the mood without being interchangeable geographic labels. A modern printed shirt is a period-inspired option rather than an authentic vintage piece.
Use the main Revival guide to check access requirements and the current programme when planning a later visit.

Goodwood Revival · The 2026 Theme
La Dolce Vita
The romance, style and speed of Italy — for one weekend in West Sussex
Maserati’s racing centenary · A Vespa-led track parade · 18–20 September 2026
In 2026 the Revival’s style edit went Italian. Goodwood marks Maserati’s racing centenary with a gathering of the marque, and opens the track with a parade swarmed by Vespas. The whole weekend is set to La Dolce Vita — the sweet life, as filtered through Rome, Monaco and the Amalfi coast.
Which is very good news for anyone who owns a Claudio Lugli. This is our natural home.
The Only Rule
Master sprezzatura
Sprezzatura is the very Italian art of looking immaculate without appearing to have tried. It is the opposite of fancy dress. One bold shirt, an open collar, sleeves rolled once — not twice — and sunglasses that look like they have seen a few summers. Everything considered; nothing laboured.
The Harbour
Monaco Montage
The Riviera in a single shirt — harbour, hairpin and the glamour that came with them. Open collar, ecru chinos, driving loafers. An option from the September 2026 theme edit.

The Road Race
Vintage Italian Road Race
Mille Miglia energy — open roads, village squares and cars with more character than downforce. A print for the man who would rather talk about the Targa Florio than lap times.

The Marque
Italian Race Cars
Red, of course. With Maserati’s centenary the story of the weekend, an Italian racing print is the closest thing to wearing the theme itself. Pair with a jacket and tie when your pass includes central Paddock access.

Finish the Look
Three Italian details
1
Sunglasses, always. Tortoiseshell over black. The Riviera squints at nobody.
2
Loafers, no socks. Driving shoes if you have them. It is September, not August — but commit.
3
One rolled sleeve. Not two. Not pushed. Rolled, once, and forgotten about.
